Shailene Woodley goes reeeaaally laidback for Red Lights premiere

There are times when you really can't be bothered to get all dolled up for a night out, we realise that, but when the night out in question is a movie premiere...

Shailene Woodley attended the premiere of new film Red Lights in New York yesterday and clearly decided she just didn't really fancy getting frocked up. Fair enough, we think. Trousers and even flats are totally cool to rock on a New York red (actually, it's black) carpet. A massive plaid shirt, however, is not. You look like you've borrowed your dad's fave shirt!

And what's going on with your hair and make up, Shailene? You look fresh from the shower which would be great if you were hanging out at home. We usually heart you and your quirky style, Woodley, but this is just a little too laidback for us..

Who's channeling the Spice Girls via her footwear?

Well, seeing as we've already shown you the real Spice Girls outfits today you know it's not them! No, another girl band member has decided to rock a giant 90s platform...

Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding was snapped strolling around sunny Primrose Hill in London today wearing a cute little denim playsuit and tasseled bag with a pair of mahoosive neon platforms. The clodhoppers, which are more creeper than Buffalo boot, are definitely more comfortable than walking around town in a pair of 6inch stiletto heels but we'd probably chose to slip on some flip flops or a pair of crisp white Supergas instead.

Which Spice Girl gets it right at the Viva Forever launch?

Eeeeeeeeeek! Sorry but we just can't contain our excitement that the Spice Girls are back together, even if it is just for a photograph. The 12-year-old inside of us is doing cartwheels right now.

Scary (Mel B), Sporty (Mel C), Ginger (Geri Halliwell), Baby (Emma Bunton) and Posh (Victoria Beckham) reunited in London's posh St Pancras Renaissence Hotel for the press launch of their upcoming musical, Viva Forever. Look where they are! On the actual staircase they danced around on in the video for their debut song, Wannabe. Amazing!

Mel B chose a slightly scary black textured dress with metallic heels. She pulled her locks back into a fierce bun and added lashings of eye make up to finish her look. Mel C looked a million miles away from her former Sporty self. No trackies and trainers here! The brunette instead opted for a tiered floaty dress and left her long hair loose. Having long dropped the ginger from her hair, Geri showed off her neat blonde bob at the event, wearing a cutesy Pink dress that would've been more Baby Spice back in the day. Actual Baby Spice who now has her very own babies now rocked a gorge blue mini dress with giant matching platforms that wouldn't have looked out of place in her Spice Girl days. Last but certainly not least we have Victoria looking like she was attending a fashion conference. The still-Posh star chose her own design to wear and looked great in her military-inspired dress. A bouffant ponytail and glossy make up finished her fashion-forward look.

The girls have come a very long way since the nineties, eh? Check out this pic of when the girl power group met Prince Charles back in 1997. A tasseled Geri lived up to her cheeky reputation by planting a smacker on the Prince's cheek. And look at Emma's bunches! We so used to copy these at school.

Four celebs have worn the same dress! Who wore it best - Lisa Snowdon, Gizzi Erskine, Heidi Range or Jools Oliver?

When four celebrities wear the same dress, it's got to be a fashion hit, right? Capes are huge fashion news at the moment, and what with Victoria Beckham being snapped in one over the weekend, we imagine they'll only get even bigger. This orange caped Maje number is a definite favourite of the celebs. Jools Oliver was first to wear hers all the way back on 9th November 2011 to the Jamie Oliver Foundation Fundraiser at Shoreditch Town Hall, London, teaming it with a black patent belt, patent courts and a snakeskin clutch. Next was TV chef Gizzi Erskine at the InStyle 10th Anniversary party on 22nd November 2011, who went for a similar look as Jools, going for black courts, black tights and a black belt, except opting for a chic 60's beehive instead of tumbling locks. Lisa Snowdon was next up at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball back in December 2011, wearing nude courts, a nude clutch and vampy black nails with hers (noticeably choosing not to go for a belt). Last but not least was Heidi Range who chose hers for the Pre-Wimbledon Party at Kensington Roof Gardens last week, teamed with a gold rope belt, cream clutch and multi-print heels. We think Lisa Snowdon's sleek but chic minimalist look is our favourite, but what do you make of these outfits, heatworlders?

Katy Perry pretties up in a girly frock for Part Of Me photocall in LA

That looks like a very nice sunny summer garden you're standing by, Katy...Anyway, at the Katy Perry: Part Of Me photocall in LA on Friday 22nd June, Katy Perry ditched her usual quirky style in favour of a much girlier, more feminine look. KP went for a classic cream sequinned Erin by Erin Fetherston dress with floral embellishment and Pink ombre tones. When teamed with nude courts and purple locks, she made it look simple but super-cute and this seems to be a totally different style for the star. Those floaty sleeves look ultra-flattering on Katy and we're glad to see she's looking much happier. Hooray! Do you like this look heatworlders or would you rather Katy returned to her usual crazy dress sense?

Nicole Scherzinger looks super slinky in gold at her 34th birthday party

Happy birthday for Friday, Nicole Scherzinger! The singer turns 34 on 29th June, and to mark the celebration she hosted a big birthday party on Saturday 23rd June at the Tao Nightclub in The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, Las Vegas. Showing off her amazing figure in a slinky gold glitzy mini dress and super-shiny Giuseppe Zanotti metallic heels teamed with a wavy blow-dry and colour pop Pink nails, we reckon she looked amazing. Rumour has it she was also presented with a gigantic cake from Herbal Essences along with an Alexander McQueen baby Pink leather quilted clutch. Fancy sending one of those our way, Herbal? There are some very fashion-hungry (and just plain hungry) heatworld staff members in the office...

How does she do it? Michelle Williams makes a corset look classy at the Take This Waltz premiere in New York

If we wore a corset we're pretty sure it wouldn't look like this, but we're still in major awe of Michelle Williams in her Altuzarra Resort 2013 black corseted dress. Last night at the New York premiere of her new film, Take This Waltz, Mich kept her look classy in monochrome, by teaming her frock with white ankle strap Givenchy sandals, a Forevermark necklace and a black box clutch by Judith Leiber. Beauty-wise, Ms Williams went for a sexy splash of red polish (we love!), a classic eyeliner flick and sheer coral lips. Do you love her look as much as we do? 

Fearne Cotton and Paloma Faith go mad for new Office creepers

With all this rain ruining our summer, we've been hunting high and low for some new summer shoes which are stylish and light, yet still keep our feet dry. As seen on the Chanel Cruise 2013 catwalk earlier this year, creepers are back! We've got Paloma Faith and Fearne Cotton to thank for our latest shoe inspiration, as they've both been snapped in these Office £50 'Mod Revival' numbers recently. We're torn between the colours but we reckon Paloma's dusky girly Pink ones might just be the winner for us...

Just another casual daytime outfit for Katie Price

Launching her new (eighth!) book, In The Name of Love, earlier today at The Worx Studios in London, Katie Price turned up on horseback, naturally. In a plunging orange and gold boob-revealing dress complete with a long, layered train (doesn't that material look like something we used to do arts and crafts with at primary school?) headdress, and gold cowboy boots. Obviously we've come to expect these subtle outfits from Katie, but thought you'd like to have a glimpse anyway..

Cheryl Cole's outfit for A Million Lights album signing in London - love it or loathe it?

Ever since her Girls Aloud days, Cheryl Cole's style has always divided the heatworld office. And this outfit has done exactly the same. Yesterday, Cheryl stepped out for her A Million Lights album signing at HMV in London's Whiteley's Shopping Centre in an Isabel Marant printed tee, wet-look J-Brand jeans and Christian Louboutin 'No. 299 Trash' heels. Here on the Star Style desk we can't say we're the biggest fans of this outfit (we think it might be the bizarre red tails trailing off her top) but as it's Chezza, we'll let her off. Oo-er! Rihanna steps out in a rather rude tee

Rihanna's known for her slightly controversial sense of fashion. Poor Ri-Ri must have been knackered after making her way round three recording studios in London last night. But never one to fade into the background, she fashioned this explicit tee instead. Styling her House of Ladosha 2Pac tattoo grey t-shirt sporting the words 'C**t Life' (available for $25 if you're interested) along with some silky pyjama-style shorts, a black beanie, plenty of gold jewels and Giuseppe Zanotti trainers, this is classic Rihanna. What do you think of her tee? Wow, didn't Keira Knightley look beautiful last night? At the LA Film Festival premiere of her new film Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, Keira nailed Grecian-chic with a modern twist in a mushroom Valentino Fall 2012 gown complete with floral embroidery. But what we really wanted to know who was how she did that amazing hair. Gavin Hoare, Salon Manager at the Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa, explains how we can get the look...

"This is quite an unusual grungy look for the red carpet. It seems that Keira has created this look with day old hair that was perhaps previously curled or plaited to give her hair substance and a natural looking curl. She’s then twisted random sections of hair and pinned them to the back of her head sporadically to create a dishevelled finish. The look has been crowned with a red hairband which complements her outfit."
So will you be trying this hairdo heatworlders? You might want to put aside a few hours to practice...

Triple special! Who wore it best - Nicky Hilton, Nicole Richie or Hayden Panettiere?

We were admiring all the lovely outfits at the Critics' Choice 2012 Awards the other night, which is where we first spotted Hayden Panettiere in this summery turquoise Keepsake 'Lost Without You' frock. Which got us thinking - haven't we seen it somewhere before? And when we looked back through our fashion archives, we realised we have indeed seen it not once, not twice, but three times. First to wear the cut-out detail dress was Nicole Richie in October 2011 to the Environmental Media Awards in California. Opting for a yellow colourway, Nicole teamed hers with contrast ankle-strap Louboutins, smoky eye make-up and a House of Harlow 1960 clutch. Nicky Hilton was next to take inspiration at a book launch party on Miami Beach (jealous!) in December 2011, being the first to try the turquoise version, and accessorising it with a nude clutch and matching nude peeptoe heels. Hayden was last but by no means least, choosing colour-pop neon nail polis, nude peeptoes again and a glitzy clutch. We think all of the ladies look equally hot, and we just can't make up our minds! Jessica Szohr goes back to the 90's!

Hang on, hang on. Haven't we seen that outfit somewhere before, Jessica Szohr? Yes, come to think of it, we're pretty sure we might have worn it in the 90's when we were 14 and trying to get into a few nightclubs on a Friday night. Jessica chose peeptoe red heels, a black vest, bootleg jeans teamed with a leopard print belt when she stepped out at The 24 Hour Plays: Los Angeles at The Shore Hotel in Santa Monica, LA, on Saturday night. Now we know the 90's are back, but we just aren't sure if we can bring ourselves to champion a revival of this kind...Do you agree heatworlders? 

Lana Del Rey's Lovebox 2012 high-street fashion hit - she's in top to toe River Island!

We loved Lana Del Rey's festival look at Lovebox this weekend, and top marks to the clever 5'7 inch lady who added extra height in both directions with her gigantic beehive and 3 inch high-top wedge trainers (although obviously being 5'7 we can't say she really needs the added height). And where we were expecting these high-top wedge trainers to be from Isabel Marant, we were very happy to discover they're actually from River Island, still in stock and will set you back a mere £40. Ok, so £40 is still a lot to us, but not as much as those £870 Isabel Marant babies...

The latest US X Factor 2012 audition outfits

The US X Factor 2012 auditions are well underway, and judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are very much battling it out in the style stakes. For the auditions on Saturday 16th June, Demi opted for top-to-toe Toppers (hooray!) in a Topshop Premium fringed jacket, a black mesh panel dress, black peeptoe courts and a gold ring, teamed with Pink ombre locks. Straying away from the great British high street, Britters opted for Giuseppe Zanotti peeptoes and a clingy gold mini dress. Do you like these latest US X Factor looks?  

The most unflattering dress shape ever? Oh dear, Whitney Port!

We usually admire Whitney Port's experimental style, and don't get us wrong, we do love her colour combo, but unfortunately we aren't keen on this dress. At the photocall for Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model at Claridges in London yesterday, judge Whitney wore this printed Fall 2012 Camilla and Marc dress along with Louis Vuitton-esque Kurt Geiger 'Enigma' mules (which are now in the sale for £69!). The shoes are very cool and 90's inspired, but we just can't get our heads round the unusual dress shape. Maybe it's the angle but the loose waist appears very unflattering and shapeless. We want to see that incredible body Whit!

After a sun-soaked holiday in Marbs (jealous, us?), TOWIE's Lydia Bright returned to Essex with a brand new hairdo, golden glow and generally looking very lovely indeed. Debuting her new shorter choppy bob when she stepped out in Cafe De Paris, London, on Saturday night, Lydia opted for a 60's inspired monochrome ensemble, complete with smoky cat's eye make-up and statement brows. We're all for the addition of a heavy fringe, although on closer inspection can't help but think Lydia's looks slightly like it's been hacked at home with a pair of scissors (or garden shears for that matter)...do you give it the thumbs up or thumbs down heatworlders?

Wow! Emma Stone sparkles (literally) at The Amazing Spider-Man UK premiere

Ok, so our love for Emma Stone has upped, like 100%. And we were pretty obsessed with her before. At the London premiere for The Amazing Spider-Man last night, Emma wore a super-sexy plunging V neck jumpsuit by Elie Saab which she cinched in at the waist with a skinny belt complete with statement gold buckle. Championing the return of the wide-legged trouser, Emma upped the sex factor with pointy black courts and smoky eyes, teamed with ultra-sleek locks. This is a totally different look compared to Emma's usual girly red-carpet style, but we think she looks absolutely incredible! Andrew Garfield must be a pretty happy man. Do you agree?

It's been a good week in fashion for Emma Stone! She's been jetsetting all over the place with her boyfriend Andrew Garfield to promote their new film, The Amazing Spider-Man, and wearing lots of lovely outfits while she's at it. Last night was our favourite beauty look to date, where she rocked a modern 40's wave, wine lips, noir nails and ultra-flawless make-up. And the dress! Matching her vampy lips to her gothic-inspired Gucci Fall 2012 frock, Emma accessorised with black courts and stacks of chunky rings.We were amazed at yesterday's outfit, but every day she just gets even better...
